The obvious salmon

 Hello everyone!

So, this is the first post to this blog. I happened to have some Salmon fillet in the freezer and I had already put it on the fridge to melt, so I am going to start with that. Smoking salmon is usually the first thing that comes into people´s mind when someone mentions smoking food.
This is the device! (hey, can you put a salmon in a bong?)
This time I will use basic alder chips for the smoke taste. Alder is good for almost everything :) Two sugar pieces are for getting a more darker color to the salmon.
So, here´s the salmon fillets. I didn´t put any spices this time. Some salt to the ready fillets is enough. I used foil that the fillets don´t get stuck to the grill. Don´t really know if the foil effects the end result somehow or not...

There it is now, let´s plug in the device.


Opened the door to check how the fillets are doing. Looking good. Maybe 15minutes more still. 
30 minutes in the smoker and now it is ready! (put a pinch of salt to the ready fillets.)

Ate it with some spinach pasta & sour cream and bacon & haricots. Delicious! 
So, not much else to say about smoking salmon. Quite obvious. With smoking salmon one can´t go wrong!
